Amy + Dave's special day was only my second wedding as a Videographer, and as I have been best friends with Amy since high school, I was extremely excited and honoured to be apart of their day!
The day started out at the Jackaroo Motel where the boys and Dave's family were getting ready. After major dramas getting the Boutonnière's (Yes, I just had to google that) pinned to the boys shirts, we were off to grab a few happy snaps beside the Motels' Pool. Dave and the boys calmed their nerves with a few bevvies, a thousand laughs, and a couple sneaky bro-hugs, before it was time for myself and Matt to head over to Amy's parents place where the girls were getting ready and indulging in some pre-wedding snacks - I even managed to grab a couple!
When we arrived, Amy was mid-makeup, and boy did she look good. Very different from the 12 year old Amy I went to school with!
After Amy was finished getting beautified, it was time to get into the dress and luckily mum, Norma was on standby to do it up because Courtney and myself didn't have a clue how to do up the corset!
The Bride and the Bridesmaids snucked in a few glasses of champagne, took a few photos and then it was time we made our way over to the Ringers Rest, which had been beautifully decorated for the Ceremony and the Reception by Amy and Dave's family and friends.
The Ceremony went off without a hitch, and Amy + Dave were pronounced Mr & Mrs Burtina in front of their family and friends, in person, and via a Skype call to Scotland!
After a million photos, fighting the horses off the nibblies, a few (ten) drinks each and a few cheeky kisses, we were ready to head into the reception where everybody was waiting for the bridal party, and most importantly - dinner!
The reception was just as perfect as the ceremony was, full of laughs, multiple tears (thanks Amy's Dad, Dave), embarrassing stories, endless marriage advice and a gift from Dave's Grandma.
Amy + Dave shared their first dance to Dan + Shay's 'From the Ground Up' and then Shandell took over the mic while everyone danced the night away!
